Supervise the tax documentation process for a global investment bank
Responsibilities:
• Validate, package and record all appropriate documents into the proper applications.
• Comply with all applicable governance, compliance, IRS regulations, risk policies and procedures
• Compile MIS for senior management. That will assist in organizing, evaluating, and efficiently running the team.
• Review exception reporting to ensure tax static data is being corrected.
• Communicate with clients, the front office and Corporate Tax on tax related matters.
• Update procedure manuals as necessary and review with the team.
• Develop business requirements, sign off on functional specifications, compile test cases and perform system testing for small projects.
• Proactively follow up on open issues and provide feedback to managers.
• Conduct weekly staff meetings and meet with analysts to review performance, gather feedback, etc.
• Review daily checklists to ensure all tasks have been carried out by the team.
Requirements:
• 5+ year financial services experience within tax documentation operations
• Strong knowledge of tax documentation, tax withholding and reporting to the IRS.
• Experience with ensuring procedures comply with IRS and Corporate Tax guidelines • Leadership experience (5 person team)
• Experience managing small projects (requirements &systems testing)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelors’ degree required
